We are seeking motivated Kernel Build Engineer Interns to join the CloudLinux team. As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with Linux kernel builds, packaging, and automation that support our KernelCare and Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) products.
CloudLinux is a leading provider of Linux-based operating systems and security solutions for web hosting providers. Our products, including CloudLinux OS, KernelCare, and Imunify360, are used by thousands of companies worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build and package Linux kernel components from source
- Apply patches and work with kernel configuration files
- Maintain build workflows and patch flows using Git
- Work with Docker-based build environments
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for build and CI-related tasks
- Participate in documenting and improving internal build processes
Qualificatuions weβre looking for:
- Experience with GNU/Linux operating system and confident CLI usage
- Understanding of how software and packages are built from source
- Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management
- Experience with Docker
- Experience writing automation scripts using Python, Go, or JavaScript
Some familiarity with C code - English proficiency at B1 level or above
