As a Data Implementation Specialist, you will play a key role in preparing, cleaning, and transforming customer data for seamless onboarding into our platform. This role requires technical proficiency in data handling, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You will collaborate closely with onboarding, product, and support teams to ensure data accuracy and a smooth customer setup experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, clean, and organize customer data (Excel, Google Sheets, CSVs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Format and transform data for import into the platform using advanced spreadsheet functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to assist in data validation and transformation when data is received in unstructured formats.
- Identify missing or inconsistent information and collaborate with internal teams or customers to resolve issues before system upload.
- Develop and maintain Google Apps Scripts or macros to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in setting up accounts, maintaining internal records, and ensuring ongoing data accuracy.
- Pull, prepare, and analyze data for customer kickoff and reporting calls.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements for data onboarding and implementation workflows.
- Support internal and external teams by building presentation decks or data summaries as needed.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, INDEX MATCH, and other complex formulas.
- Proven experience in data cleaning, formatting, and preparation for system import or integration.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify data discrepancies and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, or similar) for data manipulation, analysis, or automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple data-related tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Experience handling large datasets and performing data validation.
- Bonus: Experience with Google Apps Script, macros, or workflow automation tools such as Zapier or Make.
